Crew Clothing Co.

We are delighted that Crew Clothing Company has joined Coast & Country Cottages and Salcombe Gin as a Main Sponsor of Salcombe Crab Festival for 2019.

Crew Clothing Company was founded by professional skier, Alastair Parker-Swift, over 25 years ago. When he wasn’t competing for England, Alistair ran a successful windsurfing school in Salcombe. It was here that Crew was born.

Alastair’s first collection consisted of a signature rugby shirt featuring Crew’s now iconic ’93 patch. Alastair took it to Cowes Week, and after selling every single piece, his conviction was proven. 81 stores later, and the rest is history.

Crew Clothing has changed a little since 1993, but the British shores are still at the heart of this lifestyle brand. Whether it’s a piqué sweat, a Breton or of course one of their heritage rugby shirts, the pieces that make up their collection today are classics influenced by the coast. With quality and authenticity in every stitch, this is timeless men’s and womenswear designed for life’s best moments. Don’t miss their signature crossed oars – a mark of timeless British style and a call back to their Salcombe origins.

Over the last 25 years, Crew has grown beyond the back of a windsurfing shop. Stores can now be found up and down the country, from St Andrews to St Ives. However, the coastal lifestyle brand has never forgotten where they came from, and this year they’ll be celebrating Salcombe and supporting our local community as one of Crabfest’s main sponsors. Welcome home.
